TypeSafe
Also known as: TypeSafe AI
A San Francisco AI lab that builds models for software to use rather than for people to talk to. Its first model is Jev.
TypeSafe AI is an AI lab in San Francisco, founded by Diogo Almeida, Erik Gafni, and Sasha Sheng. Almeida is a former OpenAIThe AI company behind ChatGPT, the GPT models, and Codex. Its models also power much of Microsoft Copilot. researcher who worked on the research behind ChatGPTOpenAI’s AI assistant, the product that introduced most people to modern AI..
Its first model, JevTypeSafe’s decision model. Instead of writing text, it answers typed questions (pick one of these options, score this, yes or no) with a probability attached, fast and cheaply enough to run on every item in a queue., takes a different approach from most AI companies’ products. Instead of a model that writes text for people, TypeSafe builds models that return typed decisions with a confidence score, so other software can act on the answer directly.
TypeSafe’s privacy policy says it does not train or fine-tune its models on what customers send it, and that its services are hosted in the United States. Macktez uses Jev in its helpdesk pipeline and lists TypeSafe as a data processor on our Trust page.
