Resilient design solutions

Join Breanna Horne and Noah Landow for an informal conversation between a leading Technology Solutions Firm and an expert in helping communities plan and design infrastructure such as parks, transportation, and buildings for resilience.

Thursday, February 15 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

436 E 11th St New York, New York

Macktez continues its Tête-à-Tech series of informal talks with Breanna Horne (Director of Resilience at STV, CHMM, ENV SP, WEDG, WELL AP, Fitwel Ambassador). Breanna is an expert in helping communities plan and design infrastructure such as parks, transportation, and buildings for resilience.

She’ll be talking with Noah Landow (Founder and CEO at Macktez) for an informal conversation about flooding, extreme heat, and severe weather.

Breanna brings a refreshing, positive, and enthusiastic view of humanity to a field too often accused of grim, dark pessimism before something goes wrong and insufficient warnings when it does.

If you were in New York City during the blackouts of 2019 (Manhattan) or 2003 (Northeastern US), found yourself in a low-lying area during Hurricane Sandy, or were trapped by the flash floods just this past fall, you have lived through the need for resilience — and experienced failures and successes.

The next 25 years could turn out many different ways, but there is little doubt that we stand to benefit from a clear-eyed look at what could happen and what the range of possible impacts could be.

Join us at our East Village office, after work, over light snacks and sips, for an exploratory conversation covering a wide range of topics.
