Macktez was pleased to accept JumpCloud’s recent invitation to join the inaugural meeting of its MSP Advisory Board.
That meeting was a great opportunity to meet and collaborate with a select group of key JumpCloud Partners, to discuss technical, security, and economic challenges facing the managed service industry now and in the future, and then to offer feedback on JumpCloud’s platform and place in the MSP landscape.
The meeting was also a chance to address JumpCloud’s recent acquisition of Resmo, a tool for asset discovery and management that will broaden JumpCloud’s ability to identify and secure “Shadow IT” — apps and services that are not part of an organization’s managed stack.
“Macktez has a rewarding relationship with JumpCloud,” said Macktez COO Michael Horst, who represents Macktez on the board. “We’re looking forward to a more formal opportunity to offer constructive analysis about the practical challenges and changing needs of our clients.”
JumpCloud is the foundation of Macktez’s Identity Management service for most clients. Like other identity and access management (IAM) platforms, JumpCloud gives organizations the ability to centralize user verification and security across a wide range of online services and applications. With additional device management features, JumpCloud unifies the login experience for users and can leverage device biometrics for more convenient authentication.
Macktez Identity Management
To protect our clients’ systems with a centralized IAM solution, our Identity Management subscription manages verification for online services and local computer accounts so that users have a unified identity for authentication. MFA is always enforced for this service, and additional conditions can be added for clients with greater security needs and/or lower tolerance for risk. And with Identity Management, tightening security for one service automatically means tightening it for everything, maintaining a consistent security profile for your entire organization.
