CDA says it was known as the Belgian Waffle. Becuase they were, um, Belgians.

(from /.) Found a bug in Google Maps. Follow the link and zoom in a few times. Ys, it's a real, giant bug. No, it isn't actually really there in a German field.

Maybe a little more than I was asking for, but Jitterbug phones are definitely keeping it simple. For users who really just want a damn phone that feels like a phone, these do look good.

I finally gave up and added "blogspot.com" to the blacklisted URLs for comments. Seems like a shame, but there are just way too many spam blog getting created there these days.

I have in the past looked for a solution that would somehow alert me to upcoming concerts for bands I am interested in. The challenge has always been how a system would know which ones I am interested in whithout me manually entering a list. Not sure that this On Tour widget actually does the trick, but it nonetheless used a clever means to offer a solution: It claims to compare artists in your iTunes library with upcoming concert listings and shows you performances at venues near you.

Send Angel Cards to a friend: "Each Angel Card contains an inspiring photo on front and a Biblical verse on the back" First set is free. There is some kind of joke in here somewhere.

Interesting post on How to Deal With An Irate Person using a technique called Pace and Lead. Essentialy, instead of trying to calm someone down right from the beginning, you first join them in expressing emotions of equal intensity (ie. Wow, that really is frustrating! You must be really annoyed, etc.) and then gradually bring your (and hopefully) their intensity slowly down to a calmer one.

Friends in debate club used to spin pens in high school , but nothing so elebarate. Ignore the goofy editing/transitions and it's really quite beautiful.

Apparently, sales of 7-inch singles have risen to well over one million this year. The last time things looked this good for vinyl was 1998. Vinyl's back?

Fantastic: A rechargeable battery with with built-in USB connector for recharging. What a great idea. Only available in AA, but still.

Gotta be a fake, but still funny: Sorry (It's a video on YouTube).

The season opener for Battlestar Galactica is coming up in a couple of weeks. If you are a fan and I know you, let me know so I can invite you to come on over and watch it with us other fans. If you have someone you think might like it, but they haven't watched it spread the word.

Just posted some photos from this weekend. The giant mushroom (Alternate view) was one of the highlights.

Unless you're the designer who created the mark (still iffy), I'm not into tattoos of corporate icons/logos. See this forearm length USB logo, for instance.

Kevin Kash (from Yushinkan) is in Looking for Kitty, which opened this past Fri.
