(From Mr. Brown, and by that I mean personally, not his blog) A fascinating page on eye glasses that pierce the bridge of the nose. This is hauntingly perfectly along the lines I explored in my senor thesis. In hindsite, I wish I'd pushed the piercing angle on that project more. Didn't know anyone back then who would have been a perfect model for the piercing/body mod side. Though I am hoping explore that side for my new, current project.

New fetish trend? Women sorta-dressed as sorta-sexy versions of male superhereos. Spiderman, in the case. Poorly fitting costume/mask possible also required.

Fascinating use of a tatoo to make one's do not resuscitate wishes very clear. Though also worth note is that this would probably not be legally binding. Hopefully she will make a living will too.

Wow. Lori made this great movie about bees. This such a great example of why digital filmaking/cameras are so revolutionary and (on a diff note) why I feel copyright/IP ownership needs to be flexible; despite what the music/movie/software industries would argue, free flow of ideas and fair use really are good things. Great things.

Not usually a comics follwer, but was just talking to a friedn a few nights ago about Battlestar Galactica and how what makes it so compelling is the freedom to use robots/others/technology/fantasy to address very intensely real issues of terrorism. It appears that this DC Comics series called Civil War will be doing that same thing. Really interesting. And in this case, damn ballsy from the sound of it.

The latest Dan McCarthy print, The Biography of a Carbon Atom looks interesting. More comic-like than his usual single-pane prints. I especially like the largest pane (with the dinosaur skeleton wrapped in tree's roots).

This link was supposed to be interesting because some guy bought an x-ray machine on Ebay and is making radiographs on Polaroid film himself (including one of his own foot). . . But what struck me is that the site is noah.org and the email address at the end of the page is noah@noah.org. Whoah. He's even got a red and black logo with triangles, circles, and squares.
