Who else wants to try and make a Dorodango (A shiny ball of mud). I'm not sure if this is real, but I'm intrigued. . .

Ed [ 08/31/2006 16:28]: I've been attempting to make a dorodango for a few days now. I've made about 6 of them, but I'm having a problem with cracking. Some have gotten very shiny, but then the outer shell starts cracking and flaking. I'n not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am going to keep trying. The outer shell that forms is very thin.. like an egg shell, but I have a feeling it is supposed to be much thicker. I guess I don't know how to make it thicker. Oh well, back to the drawing board!
