Three interesting purely web-based text editor applications: Jotspot, essentially a Wiki with better formatting control and series of clever mini applications and scripts built in; gOffice, a simple letter editor that outputs to PDF (not sure how useful this one would be); Writely, a full features editor with great version control; and, speaking of vrsion control, Writeboard, a very simple one focused on versioning/collaboration. All are very interesting and some have great UIs. Not sure I would be comfortable outsourcing key IP assets to any of these for my business, but here sure are some very sophisticated Web 2.0 (Or are we up to 3.0?) tools coming onto the field.
