If anyone knows anything about the closing of the exceptional NYC ICY Company (at 21 Avenue B, near 2nd Street), I would love any news. New York Magazine (Metro) bleakly and unsubtly says "this shop is closed" on their page. Their number (212-979-9877) is disconnected. The owners, Jonathan and Suzie Leeds, aren't listed in information. I spent some time today Googling the shop and sending emails to (the many) bloggers who described it as their favorite ice cream shop in NY. Maybe one of them will have news. . . I miss 'em so much, I would seriously consider making the owners a cash offer to buy the business.

Jeff Lindy [ 11/05/2005 16:06]: I worked there summer of 2004, and I can't find Jon or Suzie either. I lament the closing of this great shop; believe me, it was as fun to be a part of as it was to buy and consume.
