so i was a bit surprised when cheney touted a website in his debate as evidence that halliburton is innocent of charges, but i must admit i was even more surprised when i went there. the washington monthly provides a bit more info and a few more questions, but a preview for those of you who don't follow the link: "George Soros, the billionaire investor and philanthropist, is beginning a nationwide tour this week to talk about how the war in Iraq is making America less safe -- and why President Bush should not be re-elected."

rachel [ 10/07/2004 14:44]: and, Cheney didn't even get the web site right! he meant factcheck.org, according to the Soros site, the latter expressing total bewilderment (left sidebar) as to why factcheck.com takes you to its site. AND, factcheck.org criticizes Cheney's lies, too! oh, America, keep your eyes open.
